Working Towards an Energy Independent Future
IBD Energy aspires to be a resiliency pioneer in Puerto Rico’s energy sector. Once operational, we will provide our customers with 75% of our energy generated by renewable sources such as solar and energy storage with the rest from clean fuel sources.
In the future we aim to supply electricity to our customers generated from 100% renewable energy sources. This includes power generated from renewable sources such as waste to energy, bio-fuels and bio-mass. We’ll offset the rest of the fuel we use by supporting carbon reduction projects onsite and in the surrounding communities.

100% of electricity consumed at the Roosevelt Roads District will come from renewable sources by 2040. We're working towards this goal by developing technology at our Innovation Center.

Microgrid controller technologies will analyze our customers consumption to optimize generation and allow us to pass on the cost savings.
Know your bill
Smart-meter technology records our customers consumption, allowing them to monitor their usage and forecast future bills in real-time through our Energy Management System Dashboard.

Our operations are conducted at the former Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, the home of our generation resources and Innovation Center:

- Central Plant and Battery Storage;
